Description
The Maritime Administration has a requirement to conduct and document condition assessments of 9 (nine) Large, Medium ‐ Speed Roll ‐ On/Roll ‐ Off Ships (LMSR's) and 5 (five) Legacy Maritime Prepositioning Force Ships (MPF's) berthed at U.S. coast ports that will allow the agency to (1) Establish a comprehensive ship custodial transfer condition benchmark and baseline for each of the ships, (2) Review Preventative Maintenance Plans and provide recommendations if any for greater efficiency/ effectiveness to enable 50 year vessel service life, (3) Evaluate the current equipment, material, and operational readiness status, and (4) Provide our customers with well-maintained ships while identifying extended service life options for the ships to reach a 50 year service life. RFQ DTMA-91-Q-2012-0020 will be issued on July 11, 2012. This requirement is 100% Small Business Set-Aside with the NAICS code of 541990 which carries a small business size standard of $14M. ATTENTION: DBE Certified or SBA Certified under Section 8(a); Small Disadvantaged Business; HUBZONE Empowerment Contracting Program; and Service-disabled Veterans: any of which that has been in business for at least three years, the DOT Short-Term Lending Program (STLP) offers working capital financing in form of a revolving line of credit for transportation related contracts.
