- Description
- This is a pre-solicitation notice for the eI-Suite Application. The USDA Forest Service anticipates issuing a solicitation for the services described in the following paragraphs. 1. Maintain the I-Suite Application. This involves fixing reported defects, updating, documenting, testing, and deploying new revisions of the software to reflect business requirement changes identified by the government, maintaining application reference data, performing user support for escalated helpdesk tickets, and performing on-site incident support when requested by the government. 2. Complete development work for the eI-Suite Application. eI-Suite is being developed using a multi-increment approach. There are 11 Increments with each one covering a primary functional area of the application. Work on Increments 1-5 was completed through a previous contract. This group of Increments is known as Phase 1. Phase 2 is comprised of 6 Increments. Some work has been completed on each of these Increments. A prototype for Increments 1-5 was developed. No production software has been deployed for any part of eI-Suite. All application code and software routines which support the application shall have a documented baseline at the completion of each Increment or as agreed upon with the Project Manager. All application and system configurations which support the application shall have a documented baseline at the completion of each Increment or as agreed upon with the Project Manager. The contractor shall use the software lifecycle approach unless an alternate approach is approved by the government. From a security perspective, it is assumed that the Enterprise Version of eI-Suite will utilize the NESS Application Portal for User Authentication. The site version of eI-Suite will utilize a localized security authentication approach. Work on the security portions of eI-Suite was completed in Increments 1 and 2. The current work will involve performing: a. Reviews of work already completed under the previous contract b. Requirements Analysis c. Design d. Code and Test e. Deployment to 3 Instances (Training, Practice, Production) f. Documentation Development (User Manuals, Technical Support Documentation) 3. Develop and deploy a Web Based Training Application, Training Curriculum, and User Training Materials for eI-Suite 4. Operate and Maintain eI-Suite for a period of 1 year after deployment of the first Production Version that is used by field units in support of actual incidents to assure application stability.
