- Modification to original Government Specifications dated 19 Jun 12. The new specifications, dated 11 Jul 12, correct errors and omissions and clarify the Government's requirements. The Rapid Acquisition Cell (RAC), Air Armament Center, Eglin AFB, FL intends to solicit, negotiate, and award a Firm-Fixed Price contract for twenty (20) 49' trailers capable of supporting a minimum 6,000 pound vehicle. The trailers must be capable of tow speeds up to speeds of 80 MPH over paved and unimproved surfaces. Than This acquisition is under Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items, FAR Part 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures, and FAR Part 13.5, Test Program for Certain Commercial Items. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation. A request for quotation (RFQ) is being requested. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this acquisition is 336212, with small business size standard of 500 employees. Offerors will be required to add this NAICS to their CCR Profile if it is not there already. There will be no advance payments. Please identify your business size in your response based upon this standard. This requirement is for: CLIN 0001: Twenty (20) 49' High-speed Trailers IAW updated Government Specs (Trailer Specs 49 Feet Rev B 11 Jul 12.pdf) attached and dated 11 Jul 2012. Each trailer should: 1. Come with two (2) spare tires mounted on wheels. 2. Have a jack installed to raise and lower the front of the trailer where it connects to the tow vehicle. The jack should be mounted on the left side of the last cross beam (15 1/32") on the tow arm assembly. The jack should be capable of folding up horizontally to become even with the tow arm assembly. 3. The 9' extension arm (Receiver) as specified in the attached drawing, must be 3" square tubing, 0.375" thick and accommodate a ball-type trailer coupler. The coupler will slide over the square tube. Do not include Couplers in proposals. They are not required. The trailer is not required to meet US-DOT compliance standards. Therefore, no lighting, brakes, or wiring is required. CLIN 0002: Applicable shipping costs associated with delivery of 14 Trailers to White Sands Missile Range, NM. 7 Trailers must be delivered NLT 8 Aug 2012 and 7 delivered NLT 29 Aug 12. CLIN 0003: Applicable shipping costs associated with delivery of 6 Trailers to China Lake, CA NLT 29 Aug 12.
