- ****ATTENTION****ALL FORMAL COMMUNICATION RELATED TO THIS ACQUISITION MUST BE DIRECTED TO DARRYL WRIGHT, Contracting Officer, CCAM-ALL, via email darryl.wright2@us.army.mil, or fax number (256) 955-9237. No telephone request will be accepted. NOUN: Splice, Fiber Optic; PRON: D12H4721D1; NSN: 6060-01-559-9713, PN: 13626182; Quantity: 250 each minimum/1,000 each maximum 5 year Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) requirement applicable to the Patriot missile system. F.O.B. Origin with delivery to Fort Bliss, TX 79916-5801. Required delivery with First Article Testing is 250 each, 230 Days After Contract Award (DACA). Required delivery without First Article Testing is 250 each, 55 DACA. This item is restricted to Stran Technologies, Inc., CAGE Code: 1HVU5, because this part requires engineering source approval by the design control activity in order to maintain the quality of the part. Existing unique design capability, engineering skills, and manufacturing knowledge by the qualified source(s) require acquisition of the part from the approved source(s). Suitable technical data, Government data rights, or manufacturing knowledge are not available to permit acquisition from other sources, nor qualification testing of another part, nor use of a second source part in the intended application. Adequate technical data is not available for this acquisition. All offerors must meet prequalification requirements in order to be eligible for award. Firms that recognize and can produce the required item described above are encouraged to identify themselves. Firms are encouraged to seek source approval in order to compete for future solicitations by accessing the website http://amcomdmz.redstone.army.mil/casl_cmo/casl_cmo_home and looking under Standard Aviation and Missile Source Approval Request (SAMSAR). All responsible sources may submit an offer, which shall be considered by the Agency. The closing date annotated is an estimated date and may be adjusted dependent upon the date of release for solicitation; however, the solicitation will not close prior to the date stated above. Foreign Firms are reminded that all requests for solicitation must be processed through their respective embassies.
