- The Hagerman National Fish Hatchery (Hatchery) needs to install Aluminum dam boards into the head and tail sections of the steelhead raceways. The Hatchery has 66 steelhead raceways (22 x 3 decks). The Hatchery currently uses 1,386 wooden boards per deck (4,158 total boards). Each wooden board has to be individually cut by hatchery staff. One complete deck of boards is replaced every year consuming many hours of personnel time. The metal boards will have increased longevity as opposed to wooden boards and are preferable in the hatchery environment for disease prevention purposes. DEFINITIONS: FOB: Freight on Board = material cost includes delivery to designated sight RACEWAYS: 100 X 10 X 7 ft. concrete tanks designed for rearing fish. KEYWAYS: 2 Channels built into the side walls of raceways (head and tail) designed to accept boards allowing raceways to fill with water SCOPE: The Hatchery needs all wooden boards replaced with 2,170 aluminum boards made from 3/16 5052 aluminum sheets cut into 12 sections of various lengths (See Attachments 1-3). The 12 section is bent at 90 on the top and bottom to achieve a 1 lip on the top and bottom leaving a 9 face (See Attachment 4). The 90 angles must be precise to achieve a sealing effect between boards. This essentially creates a C channel that fits into the keyways (See Attachment 5 photos). DELIVERY AND PERIOD OF PERFORMANCE: One deck of boards (Top Deck = 711 boards) needs to be manufactured and delivered to the Hatchery by August 1st, 2012. Items will be delivered F.O.B. to the Hagerman National Fish Hatchery located at 3059D National Fish Hatchery Road / Hagerman / Gooding County / Idaho / 83332. Pricing shall include the cost of delivery as part of the unit price. The remaining two decks (Middle Deck = 726 boards, and Bottom Deck = 733 boards) need to be manufactured and delivered to the hatchery by October 15, 2012. Boards should be palletized by deck and by length (different lengths may be on same pallet to fill the pallet but should be placed in order as much as possible). Pallets need to be labeled as to deck destination. INSPECTION AND ACCEPTANCE: Materials will be inspected and inventoried upon delivery by the Hatchery Manager or designee. Damaged or incorrect items will be rejected and replaced with items as described in purchase agreement. GOVERNMENT FURNISHED EQUIPMENT OR MATERIALS/INFORMATION: N/A AVAILABILITY: Delivery of materials to the Hatchery must be between the hours of 8:00 am - 3:00 pm (MT) Monday Friday. Deliveries must be scheduled in advance. The Hatchery can provide a forklift for unloading delivery during these times. Solicitation #: F12PS00679 will post no later then 07/11/2012.
