Description
The Naval Medical Logistics Command intends to award a sole source contract under the authority of FAR Part 6.302-1 for a FilmArray testing platform and thirty-five respiratory panel reagent pouch kits. This requirement is to acquire one FilmArray testing platform and thirty-five respiratory panel reagent pouch kits. This equipment is essential to complete mission requirements by NAMRU-6 end users which require an FDA-approved closed system multiplex real time PCR testing platform that is comprised of a machine and a disposable pouch that contains all of the reagents required for sample preparation and analysis in a freeze dried format. The FilmArray system and its respiratory pouches is the only FDA approved test that can detect both viral and bacterial causes of respiratory infection from a single sample. The respiratory pouches are FDA-approved and test for 17 viruses and 3 bacteria all of which are requirements of ongoing NAMRU-6 studies. There are no set-aside restrictions for this requirement. The intended procurement will be classified under North America Industry Classification System (NAICS) 541712. This Notice of Intent is not a request for competitive proposals and no solicitation document exists for this requirement. However, parties interested in responding to this notice will need to submit technical data, including cost, sufficient to determine capability. All capability statements received by the closing date of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Capability statements shall be submitted by email ONLY as a MS Word or Adobe PDF attachment to NMLC-Research@med.navy.mil by the notice closing date. No phone calls will be accepted.
