Description

VETERANS AFFAIRS SUCCEEDING LEASE SPACE The Southeast Louisiana Veterans Healthcare system intends to award a succeeding lease to East Skelly LLC for space the VA has occupied under an expiring lease. The expiring lease space yields 4,149 rsf of general office space, which is divided into 10 offices, a break room, a conference room, secured storage, and a communications closet. The succeeding lease will run for three years with 3 one year option periods. The space is already established and equipped and no changes will be made to the space. The space is required to continue current VA operations during and until the VA completes the construction of the new VA hospital in New Orleans, LA and then relocates operations to the new facility. The VA will consider other properties and offers but will consider the cost of any necessary tenant improvements, construction time, and moving costs in it's evaluation of the offer. The delineated area for this requirement keeps the places the space among within the area of current VA operations in order to maintain efficient and effective operations as well as facilitate the transition to a permanent hospital and minimize disruption of and difficult service delivery processes for the Veterans served.
