Description

Synopsis for solicitation number N00189-12-R-0074 (Repair and Preventative Maintenance Services) The NAVSUP Fleet Logistic Center Norfolk (FLC), Contracting Department, Norfolk, VA intends to negotiate a Firm Fixed-Priced Indefinite Delivery/Requirements type contract with firmed fixed-price provisions as a 100 Percent small business set-aside procurement action for repair and preventive maintenance (PM) support services for three (3) each harbor security boats for the Norfolk Naval Shipyard, Portsmouth, VA, Commander Navy Region Mid-Atlantic (CNRMA). The services will be required utilizing procedures under Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) 12 - Acquisition of Commercial Items and FAR 15 - Contracting by Negotiation, as well as FAR Subpart 19.5 - Set-asides for Small Business. The impending contract will include a one-year base period of performance that will commence on September 17, 2012 and conclude on September 16, 2013 with option provisions to incorporate four one-year option periods thereafter with options to extend services in accordance with FAR Clause 52.217-8. This contract will be issued with options to extend the term of the contract in accordance with FAR Clause 52.217-9. The North American Industry Classification Systems (NAICS) Code for this acquisition is 336611 and the size standard is 1,000. A request for quote will be available for download on or about 11 July 2012 under RFP number N00189-12R-0074 at the following websites: https://www.neco.navy.mil and www.fbo.gov. Potential vendors are hereby notified that the solicitation and subsequent amendments to the solicitation will ONLY be available by downloading the documents at the above websites. This office will no longer issue hard copy solicitations. By submitting a quote, the vendor will be self-certifying that neither the requestor nor the principal corporate officials and owners are currently suspended, debarred, or otherwise ineligible to receive contract from any federal agency. Failure to do so may represent grounds for refusing to accept the quote. Through its submission, the vendor acknowledges the requirement that a prospective awardee must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database prior to award, during performance and through final payment of any contract resulting from this solicitation, except for award to foreign vendor for work to be performed outside the United States. Lack of registration in the CCR database will make a vendor ineligible for award. Vendors may obtain information on registration and annual confirmation requirement by calling 1866-606-8220, or via the internet at http://www.ccr.gov.
