- NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD SOLE SOURCE The 802 Contracting Squadron, intends to award a Sole Source firm fixed price (in accordance with Far 8.404-6 (b) (1)) to the Sun Nuclear Corporation, 425-A Pineda Ct., Melbourne, FL 32940; for Sun Nuclear Mapcheck Software and Maintenance support. Period of Performance (POP) includes a: Base Period of 8 March 2013 -7 March 2014; Option One: 8 March 2014-7 March 2015 Option Two: 8 March 2015-7 March 2016 This is a planning requirement for FY13. In accordance with FAR 52.232-18 Availability of Funds (APR 1984) Funds are not presently available for this contract. The anticipated date of awared is mid February. The Government's obligation under this contract is contingent upon the availability of appropriated funds from which payment for contract purposes can be made. No legal liability on the part of the Government for any payment may arise until funds are made available to the Contracting Officer for this contract and until the Contractor receives notice of such availability, to be confirmed in writing by the Contracting Officer. The NAICS code of this procurement is 334611 and the size standard is 100 employees. This notice is neither a request for quotes nor a solicitation of offers; however, all proposals received within three days after date of publication of this synopsis will be reviewed and considered by the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether conducting a competitive procurement is the best interest of the Government. Responses must provide clear and concise documentation indicating an offereors bona fide capability to provide these services. Verbal responses are not acceptable and will not be considered. All information submitted should support the offerors capability to provide the service required, and shall be furnished at no cost or obligation to the Government.
