- This amendment is issued to provide general information in advance of the draft documentation and presolicitation conference and relates to specific questions recieved from the vendor community / interested parties for this requirement. 1. Whether this is a new requirement or a recompete for an existing contract? This requirement is a recompete for an existing contract. 2. If it is a recompete, provide the previous solicitation #; OPP 06-000 issued by NSF. 3. If it is a recompete, provide the value of the award: This information is not provided as it does not reflect accurately the current solicitation requirements and would provide an inadequate baseline to the vendor community for purposes of proposing on this solicitation. 4. Provide the current contract number. The Contract number was originally issued by NSF as: OPP-0634685 and converted to D12PD50584. 5. If it is a recompete, provide the incumbent name? PHI Inc. 6. If it is a recompete, what type of helicopters were utilized? The following information is provided as indicated in contract D12PD50584 under services, however this information may not match the current solicitation requirement: Aircraft Requirement: Two Light Turbine Helicopters Type Aircraft: American Euro copters AS350 B2; OR B3; OR EQUAL Qty: 2 Aircraft Requirement: Two Medium Helicopters Type Aircraft: Bell 212 with 212-704-129 (Increased Takeoff Horsepower, 212-704-153 (Tail Rotor) and TB 121-93-145 (No. 2 Engine Governor Trim Actuator) kits installed with Increased Weight Altitude Temperature Limit supplement; OR Bell 205 A1++ with 212 main rotor system and T53-702-17 engine; OR EQUAL Qty: 2 7. Please confirm that the Period of Performance is to begin in October 2013? Specific Award dates are TBD at this time, however, for information purposes: Current contract period of performance ends June 30, 2013. The award will consist of a base period (12 months); and 4 options periods (1 year in duration) The helicopters must be on the ice by October 2013. The ice season ends approximately 17 February.
