Description
The Army Research Laboratory (ARL) is hosting an Advance Planning Briefing for Industry (APBI) to communicate various research opportunities and increase competition. As part of the APBI, ARL will brief specific information regarding Persistent Surveillance - Intelligence Surveillance Reconnaissance (PS-ISR). ARL will provide an overview of the PS-ISR goals, identify the specifics of the PS-ISR and address specific acquisition rules associated with a potential solicitation for the PS-ISR. All attendees that hold the requisite clearance level are welcome (see "Clearance Requirements" below). Attendees will be able to ask questions about the material presented and the content therein during a Question and Answer (Q&A) session as well as an individual session (see "Q&A and Individual Sessions" below). ARL is hoping for a broad cross-section of potential performers to attend and participate. The objective of these opportunities is to analyze, study, develop and demonstrate innovative Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR) concepts and technologies which form a holistic approach to locating terrorist networks through Persistent Surveillance, Open Source Intelligence and the identification and localization of weapons of mass destruction systems as well as Improvised Explosive Devices (IED). Specific areas of interest pertaining to these opportunities include: Aerial platforms; Data display and analysis tools; Unattended Ground Sensors (UGS) for waterborne & ground-based traffic; wide field of view and narrow field of view imaging sensors; Ground Moving Target Indicator (GMTI); Radio Frequency (RF) Detection Systems; Acoustic, Magnetic, E-Field Sensor Systems; and similar Sensor System and Munition System technologies. Event and Registration Details: This event will be held on 26 July 2012 at the Army Research Laboratory, Building 205, located at 2800 Powder Mill Road, Adelphi, MD 20783. All attendees that hold the requisite clearance level are welcome (see "Clearance Requirements" below). The PS-ISR industry day attendance will be limited to the first 200 persons to register - only two participants from any organization may register and attend. Only registrations submitted via e-mail up until 12 pm Eastern Time (ET) on 20 July 2012 will be considered. ARL will confirm all registrations. Those interested in attending must send an email stating their intent on attending the event to IndustryDay@optimum.Net. The e-mail shall include Company Name, CAGE Code, Names of those requesting to attend (no more than two (2) per company), contact information (phone number, address, e-mail) for those requesting to attend. See "Clearance Requirements" (below) for the submission of the required clearance information. Q&A and Individual Sessions: The Q&A session as well as the individual sessions will be held immediately following the Government presentations on 26 July 2012. To attend the Q&A and/or schedule an individual session, please send a formal request to IndustryDay@optimum.Net, no later than 12 pm ET 20 July 2012. The individual sessions are offered on a first-come, first-serve basis and are limited to two (2) representatives per company. Clearance Requirements: This APBI will require a U.S. SECRET. Please send a Visit Authorization Request (VAR) to the Army Research Laboratory no later than 12 pm ET 20 July 2012. The VAR must certify that each individual planning to attend the APBI currently holds a U.S. SECRET (or higher) security clearance.
