Description

SCOPE OF WORK Renovate 13th Floor - PM&R PROJECT NO. 561-08-107A PROJECT OBJECTIVE: Contractor shall completely prepare site for building operations, Including demolition and removal of existing structures, and furnish labor and materials and perform work for renovations to the VA East Orange Medical Center in East Orange, New Jersey as required by drawings and specifications. Statement of Contractor Task: Work includes general construction, alterations, mechanical and electrical work, utility systems. Phase1 includes the PM&R reception and waiting area, several Doctor ™s offices, several exam rooms, and a multipurpose room. Phase 2 will include the extension/completion of the Open Gym area, 2 private modality areas, 2 semi-private therapy stations, 1 office, and activities for Daily Living therapy area. Phase 3 would include the renovation of all corridor flooring, walls, and ceilings. Finishes will be carried over from phase 1 documents with the exception of the reception area and the corridor renovation work. Mechanically work includes new ductwork and perimeter fin tube radiators. Plumbing work includes several hand wash stations within the open gym, and exam rooms as well as some minor pipe relocation work. Sprinkler work will not be included within this scope of work as the hospital is upgrading all sprinkler piping under a separate contract. Electrical speakers will be replaced, outlets, data, some floor mounted outlets to provide flexibility within the open gym, daylight sensor dimming light in the open gym as there is a great deal of natural light, and tying in to the existing BMS. Completion time: 500 calendar days after Notice to Proceed.
