Description

Salt Springs Recreation Area Prospectus Salt Springs Marina Prospectus The National Forests in Florida is pleased to announce the availability of two concession prospectuses in the Ocala National Forest. The areas being offered are Salt Springs Recreation Area and Salt Springs Marina located on the Lake George Ranger District, Silver Springs, FL. These prospectuses are being issued to solicit applications for a concession special use permit authorizing use of National Forest System lands and the operation and maintenance of Government-owned recreation facilities. Applicants may apply for one or both recreation areas, however, applicants interested in both areas must submit independent applications for each area. Salt Springs Recreation Area includes a campground, day use area, and support facilities. Salt Springs Marina includes a boat ramp, sales outlet building, boat storage facility, and other improvements. These recreation areas experience high visitor use year round. Nearby cities include Jacksonville, Tampa, Orlando, Gainesville, Dayton Beach and Ocala, Florida. The authorized officer for this business opportunity is the Forest Supervisor for the National Forests in Florida, 325 John Knox Road, Suite F-100, Tallahassee, FL 32303.
