- Sources Sought Synopsis: SOURCES SOURGHT: THIS IS NOT A NOTICE OF REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL BUT INFORMATION AND PLANNING PURPOSES ONLY! It does not constitute a solicitation and is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government. Patrick Air Force Base anticipates a requirement that is being considered under a small business set-aside program. The North American Industry Classification Systems (NAICS) Code proposed 493110. The size standard for NAICS is $25 Million. The requirement is to provide off-ste, unclassified storage. See attached dopcument for specifications. The government is interested in all small businesses including (8(a), Historically Underutilized Business Zone, or Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses that are interested in performing this requirement. The government requests interested parties submit a brief description of their company's business size (i.e. annual revenues and employee size), business status (i.e., 8(a), Historically Underutilized Business Zone, or Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses, small business) anticipated teaming arrangements, and a description of similar services offered to the Government and to commercial customers. Any responses involving teaming agreements should delineate between the work that will be accomplished by the prime and the work accomplished by the teaming partners. (insert any other questions the customer would like to see.) The Government will use this information in determining its small business set-aside decision. Capabilities Package. All interested firms should submit a capabilities package that outlines the firm's capabilities in providing the required services. Contractor is required to provide all management and labor required for the operation and management of the required services. If subcontracts are to be used, provide anticipated percentage of effort to be subcontracted and whether small or large businesses will be used. The capabilities package should be brief and concise, yet clearly demonstrate an ability to meet the stated requirements. Recent, relevant experience in all areas should be provided. Teaming and/or subcontracting arrangements should be clearly delineated and previous experience in teaming must be provided. The response must not exceed 5 pages. Submit capabilities packages by email robert.yancey.3@us.af.mil. RESPONSES ARE DUE NO LATER THAN Monday, 23 July 2012. Off Site Unclassified Storage: 1. Must be a DoD Approved facility 2. Pickup and delivery of backup tapes transported in secure vehicle a. Verification of tapes both inbound and outbound. b. Tapes are accomplished in 6 week rotation (2 containers going out each week. 1 container has 17 tapes and the other container has 9 tapes. At the end of each month there is an additional container holding 21 tapes to be stored.) 3. Unclassified storage must be within 100 miles of Patrick AFB, Florida (preferably in or around the Orlando, Florida Area). 4. Emergency pickup of tapes or delivery of tapes within 4 hours 5. Approximately 235 tapes to be stored 6. 24/7 availability 7. Tapes to be picked up once a week and by "emergency call" 8. Contract for 1 Oct 2012 through 30 Sept 2013 9. Contractor shall provide administrative service to process monthly invoices. 10. Normal hours of operation are Monday through Friday, 07:30 to 4:30 PM except recognized Federal holidays. If the holiday falls on Saturday, it is observed on Friday. If the holiday falls on Sunday, it is observed on Monday. 11. Contractor shall be required to maintain an inventory of Government owned electronic media pick Up for storage. Containers are provided by contractor. Contractor will provide secure vehicle 180 Slots required for tape storage Containers vary significantly in size, design and capacity. Container fits 20 media or less and a container that fits at least 21 tapes for the end of each month. Media similar to a standard DLT or LTO Tape. Media items stored in individual slots (one item of media per slot) in racks designed to hold specific media types. VAULT A1000 and CONTR XT000 Currently there is no classified storage requirements.
