Description
This is a pre-solicitation, not a request for a proposal. A solicitation document will not be issued and proposals will not be requested. The National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA), Intramural Research Program (IRP) intends to solicit, negotiate and award a purchase order on a noncompetitive basis with Executive Coaching Roundtable, 105 Elm Avenue, Takoma Park, MD 20912. The agency requires Executive coaching services for one year from award. The NIDA/IRP requires Executive coaching services for 10 mid to upper level scientific management staff. The executive coach will hold monthly session with 10 IRP leaders; each session will be for one hour and held at the IRP. The executive coaching will help the leaders to further refine their leadership style by building on what they have learned in the past years. The senior persons newly added to this process will build upon lessons learned from the current participants. This will enable the leaders to continue to improve interpersonal relationships, set long term goals and develop strategic plans for their various branch/sections. It will also help the group to learn to work better as a team with each other as senior leaders. Also required will be a team building session with a group of the senior leaders. Vendor is required to work with the Chief AMB and the Scientific Director to design the activity and then to facilitate the actual activity itself. Time is required to prepare for the conduct of the activity. In addition, we require the vendor to facilitate group session where interpersonal issues will be discussed and hopefully resolved so that the IRP can function more effectively as a whole. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 611430, Professional and Management Development Training. The acquisition is being conducted under simplified acquisition FAR 13 and is exempt from the requirements of FAR Part 6, Competition Requirement. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. Interested parties may identify their interest and capabilities in response to this notification. This notice is for information and planning purposes only. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS. The Government does not intend to award a contract based on responses under this announcement. The determination by the Government not to compete the proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely with the discretion of the Government. Comments to this announcement, referencing notification number NIHDA20124066 may be submitted no later than 4:30 p.m. Eastern Standard Time on August 1, 2012 to NIDA/IRP, Biomedical Research Center, Suite 200, 251 Bayview Boulevard, Room 4A326, Baltimore, MD 21224, ATTN: Carol Lindsay, clindsay@intra.nida.nih.gov.
