- General Information Short Title: E-Prime Software and MRI Simulator Document Type: Presolicitation Notice Solicitation Number: NCI-120100-KM Posted Date: 07/17/2012 Response Date: 08/01/2012 Classification Code: 6640 - Laboratory Equipment and Supplies NAICS Code: 334119 - Other Computer Peripheral Equipment Manufacturing Contracting Office Address Department of Health and Human Services, National Institutes of Health, National Cancer Institute, Office of Acquisitions, 8490 Progress Drive, Suite 400, Frederick, MD 21701, UNITED STATES Description The National Cancer Institute (NCI), National Center for Complementary and Alternative Medicine (NCCAM) plans to procure on a sole source basis the following: E-Prime 2.0 Professional System; E-Prime Extensions for fMRI 2.0; Serial Response Box, Model 200a System and MRI Simulator Assembly including 60cm bore w/tapered entry and flat façade with integrated control panel (light, fan, in/out), lights, fan, speakers and subwoofer, motorized participant table; mock head coil, Siemens style; SimFx System; MoTrak System simulator assembly; mock head coil mirror, Siemens style system from Psychology Software Tools, Inc. This acquisition will be processed in accordance with simplified acquisition procedures as stated in FAR Part 13.106-1(b)(1). The North American Industry Classification System code is 334119 and the business size standard is 1,000. Only one award will be made as a result of this solicitation. This will be awarded as a firm fixed price type contract. Period of Performance shall be from award through ninety (90) days. It has been determined there are no opportunities to acquire green products or services for this procurement. This equipment will be used to simulate an MRI environment in the laboratory. The software system will collect and analyze the data from the MRI machine. The contractor shall provide the following:- • MRI Simulator Standard System o 60cm bore with tapered entry and flat façade with integrated control panel (light, fan, in/out), lights, fan, speakers and subwoofer, motorized participant table • Siemens style mock head coil • SimFx system • MoTrack system simulator assembly • Siemens style mock head coil mirror assembly • E-Prime 2.0 Professional System • E-Prime Extensions for fMRI 2.0 System • Serial reponse box model 200a system The NCI knows of no other entity that possesses the necessary expertise. This notice is not a request for competitive quotation. However, if any interested party believes it can meet the above requirement, it may submit a statement of capabilities. The statement of capabilities and any other information furnished must be in writing and must contain material in sufficient detail to allow NCI to determine if the party can perform the requirement. Capability statements must be received in the contracting office by 11:00 AM EST, on August 1, 2012. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed requirement will be based upon responses to this notice and is solely within the discretion of the Government. In order to receive an award, contractors must be registered and have valid certification in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) and the Online Representations and Certifications Applications (ORCA).
