- Seattle District requires maintenance clamshell dredging of approximately 1 million cubic yards of sediment from the Grays Harbor Inner Harbor Navigation Channel per performance period for three (3) performance periods (Base Period - Award through 31 March 2013; plus two Option Periods - 1 April 2013 through 31 March 2014 and 1 April 2014 through 31 March 2015). Additionally, 600,000 cubic yards of material shall be dredged from the Cow Point and Cow Point Turning Basin within the first 60 days of the Base Period. Disposal of all dredged material shall at the Point Chehalis or South Jetty Disposal Areas. The magnitude of construction is $10,000,000 to $25,000,000 ($3,500,000 to $8,000,000 per period of performance.) Project is 100% set-aside for small businesses. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 237990 with a size standard of $20 million. For the purposes of this procurement, a firm is a small business if its annual average gross revenue, taken for the last 3 fiscal years, does not exceed $20 million. To be eligible for contract award a firm must be registered in the DoD Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database. Pursuant to Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), the solicitation will be available for download no earlier than 15 days following the posting of this synopsis. Pursuant to FAR, the response date of the solicitation is no earlier than 30 days from the date of the solicitation release date. The solicitation due date will be noted on the solicitation at the time of issue. There is no technical information available until the issue of the solicitation via the Internet. A contract award may or may not result from this solicitation. All costs associated with compiling proposals are at the contractor's own expense.
