- Description
- The United States Marine Corps (USMC), Marine Corps Systems Command (MCSC) intends to negotiate and award a sole-source contract to Lockheed Martin Corporation (LMC) Mission Systems & Sensors (MS2), 497 Electronics Parkway, Syracuse, NY 13088-6062, for the integration, testing, and fielding of the Operations Consoles Technical Refresh for the AN/TPS-59A(V)3 Radar System. Fielded in 1985, the AN/TPS-59A(V)3 is a long-range, three-dimensional (3-D), ground based air surveillance radar. The Long-Range Radar (LRR) supports the Marine Air Ground Task Force (MAGTF) Commander in Anti-Air Warfare (AAW) operations with Air Breathing Targets (ABT) surveillance to a distance of 300 nautical miles (nmi) and Tactical Ballistic Missile (TBM) surveillance to 400 nmi. This acquisition is for the AN/TPS-59A(V)3 LRR Operator Console Technical Refresh effort. The AN/TPS-59A(V)3 requires a technical refresh of its ruggedized server to achieve a Form-Fit-Function (FFF) replacement for the obsolete custom ruggedized Oracle/Sun SunFire V240 servers and the Oracle/Sun Netra T5220 Carrier Grade ruggedized servers that are currently in use. This acquisition will provide the FFF integration, testing, and fielding of the Oracle/Sun Netra T4-1 Carrier Grade server replacement, which will be procured through the Marine Corps Common Hardware Suite (MCHS) and provided as Government-Furnished Property (GFP). Lockheed Martin is the designer, developer, and manufacturer of the AN/TPS-59A(V)3 Radar System. LMC developed the software resident within the Radar Data Signal Processor Technical Refresh exclusively at private expense and retains title to the technical data. The Government does not own technical data packages for the LMC developed software and hardware. Lockheed Martin is considered the only source capable of meeting these requirements. No solicitation is available for competitive bidding; however, interested parties are encouraged to submit a statement of capability for satisfying this requirement. All communications shall be submitted in writing to Mr. Damon Trevithick via email at damon.trevithick@usmc.mil. Responses will only be used to consider whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Proprietary information shall be clearly identified as such on a page-by-page basis. Please note that no telephonic requests will be accepted.
