- DESCRIPTION OF WORK A. The Contractor shall furnish all labor, equipment, transportation, supervision, operating supplies, materials, and incidentals, necessary to prepare surfaces for asphalt patching, chip seal, and pavement markings as awarded. Aggregate for chip sealing to be Gov't sourced from pit shown in plan set. Chips to be washed by contractor as required and is incidental to project. All other products, materials or supplies to be supplied by contractor. Oil for chip seal to be CRS-2P and chips and oil to be applied per FP03 409.11, table 409-1 designation 1C. Marking paint shall conform to FP03 718.14, and a drying time not to exceed 30 minutes. B. Painting shall consist of furnishing and applying paint on pavement surfaces, in the form of traffic lanes, parking bays, and other detail pavement markings, in accordance with the details as shown or as prescribed by the Contracting Officer's Representative (COR). Conform to the Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices for Streets and Highways, published by the U.S. Department of Transportation, Federal Highway Administration. PROJECT LOCATION A. Koocanusa Marina and Resort: From Libby, drive 23 miles north on Highway 37 to the junction with Marina access road on left. Base project extends into Marina to the top of boat launch. Options 1,2,and 4 location also within the Marina. Option 3 is located on Cripple Horse road NSFR 835. Cripple Horse road is approx. ½ mile before the Marina Access on Highway 37 from Libby. Option 3 begins at MP 0.637 and ends at MP 1.179. PRICE RANGE A. Between $100,000.00 and $150,000.00 PROSECUTION AND PROGRESS A. The estimated start work date is July 15, 2013. All work shall be completed before September 1, 2013. B. The Contractor shall submit a list of proposed subcontractors and their intended work, to the CO prior to start of project. PRE PROPOSAL CONFERENCE/TOUR will not be conducted. Site visit is at the discression of the contractor.
