- Description
- The Air Force intends to solicit The Boeing Company on a sole-source basis to manufacture and supply A-10 Enhanced Wing Assembly (EWA) spare parts for the Air Force supply chain. Contractor will manufacture and supply spare parts to the Air Force supply chain so they will be available to support EWA unique requirements from initial fielding of the first wing until the Air Force and Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) provisioning efforts can fulfill the spare requirements. Based on FAR 6.302-1(a)(iii) Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements, due to the duplication of costs and delay in schedule for the required tooling. The proposed contract action is for a small amount of spares for which the Air Force intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source. Responsible sources may identify their capability or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. A Firm-Fixed-Price pricing arrangement is anticipated.
