- Roads & Sidewalks, Project 529-07-107 This project includes the complete preparation of the site for building operations, including demolition and removal of existing structures, and furnish labor and materials and perform work for Butler VAMC Roads & Sidewalks Project as required by drawings and specifications. Duration for this project is 180 calendar days. STATEMENT OF BID ITEM(S) This project includes New and Repair/Replacement of Roads & Sidewalks work. BID ITEM I BASE BID: Complete Roads & Sidewalks Project Work includes general construction, alterations, demolition and removal, roads, walks, grading, drainage, electrical work, laboratory testing, locating and relocating utility systems, traffic signs, erosion and sediment control, construction phasing, paving, restoration of disturbed areas, and any other work specified herein and shown on the Drawings. The designated Work Areas for the complete Roads & Sidewalk Project include: 1. Front Parking Lot 2. "B" Street 3. Gravel Parking Lot 4. Main Entrance Completion time for Bid Item I shall be 180 calendar days. BID ITEM II, Alternate 1 Work to include: All work within Bid Item I above except work completed within the Gravel Parking Lot Work Area. Completion time for Bid Item II shall be 160 calendar days. BID ITEM III, Alternate 2 Work to include: All work within Bid Item II above except work completed within the Front Parking Lot Work Area. Completion time for Bid Item III shall be 140 calendar days. BID ITEM IV, Alternate 3 Work to include: All work within Bid Item III above except work completed within the "B" Street Work Area. Completion time for Bid Item IV shall be 120 calendar days. Note: Completion time for base bid (Bid Item I) and bid alternates as listed above. This includes thirty (30) calendar day submittal period. Provide all submittals within thirty (30) days of notice to proceed. Upon submission, review, and approval of all submittals by the A/E and COTR, the contractor will immediately begin construction unless otherwise approved by the contracting officer. For forms and specifications to submit a bid, and to register your name on the bidders mailing list, go to http://www.fbo.gov/. All respondents must be registered in CCR data base, see http://ccr.gov and complete online Reps and Certs at http://orca.bpn.gov, along with Vets 100 at http://vets.dol.gov/vets100/. All contractors must be registered in vetbiz at http://www.vetbiz.gov. Amendments to the solicitation will be posted at this website only. All respondents must obtain amendments at this website, hard copies will not be mailed. All questions must be submitted in writing by mail, email-linda.bressler@va.gov or fax (724-477-5026) to the issuing office in sufficient time prior to bid opening. NAICS Code is 237310, and is applicable to this acquisition with a Business Size Standard of $33.5 million. Magnitude of Construction is between $500,000.00 and $1,000,000.00. The project duration is expected to take: from Notice to Proceed; Base Bid - 180 calendar days; Alternate 1 Bid - 160 calendar days, Alternate 2 Bid - 140 calendar days, Alternate 3 Bid - 120 calendar days, depending on the Alternate decided upon. Solicitation VA-244-12-B-0940 will be available on or about August 3, 2012. Bid Opening Date will be specified in the solicitation, Bldg. #1, Rm 333W. Pre-bid conference is tentatively scheduled for August 9, 2012, at 1:00 P.M. location to be specified in the solicitation, VA Medical Center, Butler, PA 16001. This is a total service disabled veteran owned small business set-aside.
