- J&A for Sole Source RFQ for COGNOS Maintenance Renewal Synopsis for COGNOS Maintenance Renewal Description: USTRANSCOM, TCAQ-D: This notice is a "Combined Synopsis and Solicitation" and "Notice of Intent". Under the authority of FAR 13.106(b)(1), the Government intends to award a firm-fixed price contract to International Business Machines Corporation (IBM) for the following items: 1 Each - Part No. E0678LL; IBM Cognos BI Business Author Limited Use Processor Annual SW Subscription & Support Renewal; PoP 1-Oct-12 thru 30-Sep-13 1 Each - Part No. E06SBLL; IBM Cognos BI Powerplay Web User Limited Use Processor Annual SW Subscription & Support Renewal; PoP 1-Oct-12 thru 30-Sep-13 This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a separate written solicitation will not be issued. This solicitation is being issued as a request for quotation (RFQ). The solicitation documents and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-43, dated 02 August 2010. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this procurement is 541519 and the small business size is $25,500,000.00. This requirement will provide software maintenance support to the Integrated Surface Deployment Data Cleansing Tool (iSDDC), which only IBM can provide. This software maintenance support will provide software patches, maintenance releases, and software upgrades. The iSDDC utilizes the Cognos Suite of reporting tools for all the program's reporting requirements.
