Synopsis Acquisition Method Code: 3/B PR Number: FD2030-12-71210 Solicitation Number: SPRTA1-12-R-0452 Estimated Release date of RFQ: 07 Aug 2012 Estimated Response Date for RFQ: 06 Sep 2012 The anticipated award date will be: 31 Sep 2012 Item: 0001 - New Manufactured Material NSN: 2935-01-148-2116 JF NOUN: LUBRICATING COOLER P/N: 933M69P02 Quantity Range: (if one-time buy is made versus long term contract): Min-1, Max-5 Potential 3-Year MYC contract with a BEQ of 9 EA for the total 3 year requirement **Estimated Year I Quantity:3each **Estimated Year II Quantity:3each **Estimated Year III Quantity:3each **Estimated Maximum Contract Quantity: 14 each **Estimated Maximum Order Quantity: NTE 150% of the Estimated Quantity per CLIN Description and Function: The fuel/cooler is a two-pass heat exchanger. The cooler consists of a tube bundle, shell, and bypass valve. Fuel flowing through the tube bundle cools oil flowing around the tubes. Approximate Dimensions: 4.5" Long by 12.88" Wide by 6.58" High; Weight 13.6 Lbs, Material: Stainless Steel NEW MANUFACTURE AUTHORIZED. Applicable to: F-101 Delivery: On or Before 31 DEC 2013 Destn: SW3211, Tinker AFB, OK. 73145-8000. History: Last purchase was 22 SEP 2011 to Integrated Procurement Technologies, for a total quantity of 22 each. Electronic procedure will be used for this solicitation. IAW FAR 5.207(c)(13)(ii), All responsible sources may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation, which shall be considered by the agency. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. All responsive proposals received within forty five-days (thirty days if award is issued under an existing basic ordering agreement) after date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A Determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Based on market research, the Government is not using the policies contained in Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items, in its solicitation for the described supplies or services. However, interested persons may identify to the contracting officer their interest and capability to satisfy the Government's requirement with a commercial item within 15 days of this notice. The solicitation will be available for download on the release date from www.fedbizops.gov. No telephone requests. Hardcopies of the solicitation will not be sent from this office. Note: An Ombudsman has been appointed to hear concerns from offers or potential offerors during the proposal development phase of this acquisition. When requested, the Ombudsman will maintain strict confidentiality as to source of the concern. The Ombudsman does not participate in the evaluation of proposals or in the source selection process. If the Government has not completed review of a SAR package when the contract is awarded, the SAR will be retained and the source will be reviewed for possible source approval for future awards.
