Description

This notice is for Solicitation No. VA-243-12-B-1701 - Project No. 630-09-102, Chiller Replacement at U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, New York Harbor Healthcare Systems, Manhattan Campus, 423 East 23rd Street, New York, NY 10010. This is a Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business Set-Aside (SDVOSB). As a result, only and all SDVOSB's may submit a bid, which will be considered by the agency. This project is classified under NAICS Code 238220, and has a size standard of $14 Million. The cost estimate range for this project is $1,000,000.00 to $2,000,000.00. BASE BID: GENERAL CONSTUCTION: Contractor shall provide all necessary labor, equipment, materials, etc. for the replacement of the chiller at U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, New York Harbor Healthcare Systems, Manhattan Campus, 423 East 23rd Street, New York, NY 10010 as shown on the contract drawings and specifications. Work includes all work to be performed to replace one chiller including demolition of existing exterior building wall and retaining and storing existing window, demolition of existing chiller and its' motor control center, retaining existing chiller' refrigerant for the VAMC, adding a concrete pad for the chiller' variable frequency drive (VFD), replacing the removed masonry wall after the new chiller is rigged and installed in place on the existing equipment pad, re-installing the existing window (or replacing it if it has become damaged), providing a new 1,200 ton water cooled refrigerant chiller with related VFD, hydronic piping, valves, coordinating with the VAMC' controls contractor and providing commissioning for the new chiller and providing a one year maintenance and service contract. All work must be coordinated with Contracting Officer's Representative. All work shall be in accordance with the contract drawings and specifications. All work shall comply with Occupational Safety & Health Administration (OSHA) Regulation, National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) 101 Life Safety and VA Standards and Regulations. All other details and information shall be contained in the solicitation which shall be posted on www.fbo.gov. The solicitation will be released on or about 07/24/2012. The bid submittal address, date and time will be included in the solicitation. This project requires bonding and all bid submissions shall be in hardcopies; faxed or e-mailed bids will not be accepted. All bidders shall be registered and certified/verified in: www.ccr.gov, www.orca.bpn.gov, www.vetbiz.gov (contractor must have CVE certification [CVE Logo] at the time of bid opening).
