- This synopsis is being posted to both the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) page located at http://www.fbo.gov and the Navy Electronic Commerce on Line (NECO) site located at http://www.neco.navy.mil. While it is understood that FBO is the single point of entry for posting of synopsis and solicitations to the internet, NECO is the alternative in case FBO is unavailable. Please feel free to use either site to access information posted by the Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA). The Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) plans to procure on a full and open competition basis modernization efforts in support of the LCC 19 Class Extended Service Life Program (ESLP). Efforts will include, but not limited to, advance planning efforts associated with shipchecks, drawings, and engineering, packaging and shipping, marine maintenance and installation, material kitting, technical and logistical support services to support the LCC 19 Class scheduled availabilities in the homeport of Yokosuka, Japan and Gaeta, Italy. The place of performance will encompass the Puget Sound Naval Shipyard and homeport of the vessels. The Government intends to award a Cost Plus Fixed Fee (CPFF) Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract. Orders will be issued under the IDIQ for a period of up to (5) five years. The solicitation will be issued electronically via http://www.neco.navy.mil on or about 10 August 2012. Interested offerors should monitor both the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) page located at http://www.fbo.gov and the Navy Electronic Commerce on Line (NECO) site located at https://www.neco.navy.mil for the release of the solicitation.
