- This request is an announcement for information/market research for planning purposes. This synopsis does not constitute a request for proposal, request for quote, invitation for bid, nor does its issuance, in any way, restrict the U.S. Government as to its ultimate acquisition approach. The Air Force Nuclear Weapons Center PKOA, Kirtland AFB, New Mexico is seeking potential sources to provide D-dot Probes and Baluns for measuring a wide frequency range in the radio frequency band between 1GHz to 10GHz. The frequencies are produced when a high energy ultra-short laser undergoes nonlinear process in the air. ITEM 1: D-dot probe for frequencies up to 10GHz - Probe Area: 1x10-4m2 - Frequency response: larger than 10GHz - Rise time of the device: shorter than 0.033ns - Maximum output voltage: 125V - Connector: Dual SMA ITEM 2: D-dot probe for frequencies up to 3.3GHz - Probe Area: 1x10-3m2 - Frequency response: larger than 3.3GHz - Rise time of the device: shorter than 0.11ns - Maximum Output Voltage: 250V - Connector: Dual SMA ITEM 3: Balun for the 3GHZ d-dot probe - Insertion loss of device: 3.4dB - Passes frequencies from 150kHz to 3GHz - Rise time of the device: 0.2ns - Connectors: input: Dual SMA - Output: SMA ITEM 4: Balun for the 10GHz D-dot probe - Passes frequencies up to 10GHz - Rise time of the device: 0.03ns - Connectors: input: dual SMA - Output: SMA Firms responding to this announcement shall include company name, DUNS number, Cage Code, point of contact, address and business size using NAICS Code 334515, Size Standard 500 employees.
