- Sources sought for services to provide the U.S. Navy with sufficient information on the condition of rotating machinery on ships to plan and manage the maintenance and repair work on those machines. Two aspects of this contract support this effort: MCA survey performed before and after each industrial availability and support of the Ship ™s Force Machinery Vibration Analysis (SFMVA) program through independent engineering analysis of ship collected data, training, technical and logistic support to maintain the ship ™s ability to do their own vibration analysis.. The anticipated contract will be a Firm Fixed Price Contract IDIQ type contract. The anticipated period of performance consists of a one-year base period and two one-year option periods for a total of thirty-six months. Place of performance is East and West Coast. This is not a solicitation announcement for proposals and no contract will be awarded from this announcement. It is not to be construed in any way as a commitment by the Government, nor will the Government pay for the information submitted in response. See Attachment I- Draft Performance Work Statement The anticipated contract will be procured as a Hub Zone Small Business Set-Aside under NAICS code 541330. Your response shall include the following information and can be submitted in your own format: size of company, i.e., large, small, 8(a), veteran-owned, woman-owned, etc.; number of employees; revenue for the past three (3) years; relevant past performance on same/similar work dating back five (5) years; your experience with providing services for similar requirements and your company's capability to provide the type of services required. Submissions shall not exceed two (2) standard size typewritten pages. Responses should be submitted electronically to Bryan Makuch at bryan.makuch@navy.mil by 4:00 p.m. Eastern Standard Time (EST) on 31 July 2012. Again, this is not a request for a proposal or a solicitation. Respondents will not be notified of the results.
