Description

This project encompasses the construction of a U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility (SCIF) on U.S. Army Garrison-Humphreys, Pyongtaek, Korea. This new 81,698 SF two-story building will contain administrative office space, data center, and utility plant with medium voltage electric power transformer, generators, uninterrupted power supplies, chillers, and fire protection system. The project also includes the installation of anti-ram barrier, perimeter fencing, and other measures to protect the new facility in accordance with DoD Antiterrorism/Force Protection requirements. Construction shall comply with DoD Standards for Overseas SCIF construction. Estimated price range is between $25,000,000 and $100,000,000. A two Step Process is to be utilized, where Step 1 involves Pre-qualification of Offerors. And Step 2 involves Requests for Proposal being issued to Pre-qualified Offerors. The tentative dates are as follows: Tentative Date for Step 1 Solicitation Announcement: 24 August 2012 Bid Closing: 25 September 2012 Tentative Date for Step 2 Solicitation Announcement: 25 October 2012 Site Visit: 1 November 2012 Bid Closing: 3 December 2012 The period of performance is 800 days after issuance of Notice to Proceed The award is restricted to U.S. top secret or secret-cleared construction firms. The award is not restricted to small businesses and there will be no charge for the solicitation documents.
