- This synopsis is being posted to both the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) page located at http://www.fbo.gov and the Navy Electronic Commerce on Line (NECO) site located at https://www.neco.navy.mil/. While it is understood that FBO is the single point of entry for posting synopses and solicitations to the Internet, NECO is the alternative in case FBO is unavailable. Please feel free to use either site to access information posted by NSWC Crane. THIS NOTICE IS PROVIDED FOR INFORMATION PURPOSES ONLY. THIS OPPORTUNITY IS AVAILABLE ONLY TO CONTRACTORS UNDER N00164-09-D-JS45. The Government intends to negotiate and award a modification to existing contract number N00164-09-D-JS45 to extend the ordering period an additional 12 months to include repair (as needed)/upgrade of RT-9000A DSP HF/SSB/ISB Transceivers to RT-9000D (min 1/ea, max 10/ea) and to include repair (as needed)/upgrade of LPA-9500 500 Watt Linear Power Amplifiers to 9600 1000 Watt (min 1/ea, max 10/ea). N00164-09-D-JS45 currently has a three (3) year ordering period; this ordering period will expire September 18, 2012. The Communication Data Link System (CDLS) and Mobile Tactical Operation Module (MTAOM) contain the Sunair High Frequency (HF) Radio Set Assembly which are currently fielded in support of the US Marine Corps Air Command and Control Squadrons (MACCS) Continental United States (CONUS), Outside the Continental United States (OCONUS), and deployed in-theatre. This modification will provide for repair and upgrades to the Sunair Transceiver and Amplifier within the HF Radio Set Assembly. The current contractor is SUNAIR ELECTRONICS, LLC, 3400 SW 60TH AVE, OCALA, FL, 34474-9477. This requirement will be negotiated on a sole source basis in accordance with the statutory authority 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1) as implemented by FAR 6.302-1; Only one responsible source and no other supplies will satisfy agency requirements. The basis for restricting competition is the SUNAIR proprietary software design/interface. No formal solicitation will be issued. All responsible sources may inquire into the specific terms and conditions; such inquiries will be considered by the agency. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed effort based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Delivery will be FOB Destination to NAVSEA Crane, 300 Hwy 361, Crane IN 47522.
