Description
SYNOPSIS Description: This is a pre-solicitation/synopsis of a service requirement for Hill Air Force Base, UT. It is anticipated that Hill AFB will be soliciting the requirement for Integrated Aeronautical Mylar Support Services for large format, undimensioned drawings on a stable-base material. Support services include Integrated Logistics Support Program Management, Mylar Digitization, Mylar Precision Plotting, Mylar Restoration, Mylar Engineering, and Storage and Inventory Management. Due to the high degree of accuracy required to ensure the integrity of the original mylar documents, scanning equipment that utilizes pinch rollers that feed documents through a scanner are deemed technically unacceptable. Due to the precision technology involved and the close liaison relationship needed to support OO-ALC's daily production activity required, a single contractor with demonstrated capability to provide all Integrated Aeronautical Mylar Support Services is requisite. This requirement will be a 100% Small Business set-aside. The government estimates the number of Mylars to be digitized over the 5 year period to be 8,108. Funding for this requirement is currently unavailable, however it is anticipated that funding will be in place at the time of award. This contract is anticipated to be awarded by NLT 30 September 2012. The solicitation is anticipated to be posted within 2 weeks. All questions, comments, or statements of capabilities shall be sent to Benjamin White at benjamin.white@hill.af.mil
