Description
Scope of Work: The contractor will furnish all materials, equipment, supervision, and personnel necessary to accomplish the job for the demolition, and renovation of an area in building 18D for renovation as the œDental Clinic and comply with VA specifications and VA regulations, procedures and conditions for work at the medical center and any applicable codes as per requirements of all governing agencies. This project will renovate the currently unoccupied space at VA Castle Point for the dental service. The goal of this project is to optimize suite layout in order to comply with fire code requirements, improve suite accessibility under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), and layout office and operat0ory space to provide for proper patient monitoring and privacy. Work shall include asbestos abatement in conjunction with cleanup of construction equipment, tools, etc., demolition of partially installed walls: studding, sheetrock, conduit, piping and ductwork, selective demolition of floor leveling substrate and lead abatement, selective demolition and modifications of existing walls, ceilings, plumbing, electrical, etc. debris disposal, all new work: perimeter wall furring construction, windows, door, interior partitions, sound deafen insulation, electrical, plumbing, mechanical and HVAC equipment, controls and ductwork, wall finishing, roofing, steel and siding, fire sprinkler and alarm work, casework, dental equipment and chairs, furniture, furnishings and other related and ancillary work and the relocation of existing items.. Contractor is responsible for providing all As-Built drawings, OEM manuals and cut sheets upon project completion. Additionally, contractor will conduct Customer training upon project completion for all installed equipment. Contractor will be responsible to coordinate and schedule work to minimize to short duration and shall be expected to plan work typically during duty hours of the hospital other than abatement activities, specific demolition: floor leveling substrate, and utility ties-ins during off duty hours. Maintain all access to and egress from the buildings at all times for facility ™s fire protection requirements and to meet the requirements of regulatory codes, laws, etc.
