Scope of Work: The contractor shall provide all resources necessary to accomplish the deliverables described in this statement of work (SOW), except as may otherwise be specified. Northport VAMC must ensure that systems are in an appropriate location within the facility with backup for power by emergency power or through some other means such as uninterruptible power supply. Backup power exists for computer facility air conditioning systems that the facility documents a risk assessment that identifies high-risk data systems as part of this capability. The OI&T department meets all the requirements for data backup, system and application software backup, and hardware and network redundancy; and required emergency operations procedures. The facility develops an IT and computing systems emergency operations plan for response and recovery operations. The facility incorporates it into the facility preventive maintenance program for hardware and software. 3. Background: It is mandated that the facility demonstrates the ability to maintain essential business services requiring IT support as appropriate like a UPS Power management system to help support the computer room. Northport VAMC currently has a generator to support the computer room but it takes a brief period of time before it provides power after a failure and the system identified in the quote above would hold up the computer systems in our computer room until the generator fires up and provides power. In addition, this system needs to have the capability to assist in conditioning the incoming power so that if Northport VAMC experiences a spike or sag in the power provided, the system will normalize the power further protecting its equipment. This will allow for maintaining computer, Vista RO, and e-mail resiliency during emergency situations. 4. Performance Period: The contractor shall complete the work required under this SOW in __30_ calendar days or less from date of award, unless otherwise directed by the Contracting Officer (CO). If the contractor proposes an earlier completion date, and the Government accepts the contractor's proposal, the contractor's proposed completion date shall prevail. 5. Type of Contract: [Firm-Fixed-Price]. [Refer to the guidance that accompanies this STATEMENT OF WORK cont. The OI&T department meets all the requirements for data backup, system and application software backup, and hardware and network redundancy; and required emergency operations procedures. The facility develops an IT and computing systems emergency operations plan for response and recovery operations.
