Description

This solicitation is being posted to both the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) page located at http://www.fbo.gov/ and the Navy Electronic Commerce on Line (NECO) site located at https://www.neco.navy.mil/ While it is understood that FBO is the single point of entry for posting of synopsis and solicitations to the internet, NECO is the alternative in case FBO is unavailable. Please feel free to use either site to access information posted by NSWC Crane. Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC) Crane Division intends to enter into a Firm Fixed Price (FFP) supply contract to procure the following on a Brand Name only basis: Amphenol Connector, Part No. 10-580903-183, Quantity 160. Amphenol Connector, Part No.GTC06F1810S, Quantity 154. Amphenol Connector, Part No.GTC07R1810P, Quantity 154. Amphenol Connector, Part No.RJFTV6MG, Quantity 1360. Amphenol Connector, Part No.RJFTV71G, Quantity 1060. Amphenol Connector, Part No.RJFTVC6G, Quantity 1360. Amphenol Connector, Part No.RJFTVC7G, Quantity 1360. Amphenol Connector, Part No.USBFTV6G, Quantity 160. Amphenol Connector, Part No.USBFTV72G, Quantity 160. Amphenol Connector, Part No.USBFTVC6G, Quantity 160. Amphenol Connector, Part No.USBFTVC7G, Quantity 160. A different Brand of connector would impose undue burden on the Government by requiring redesign of previously acquired components, drawings, electrical and mechanical specifications, schematics, and training manuals for the system. Additional costs to the Government would be for labor and materials as well as delay in fielding the equipment thereby increasing the risk to the Warfighter. These connectors have a specific insert configuration that is proprietary only to Amphenol. Amphenol is the OEM of these connectors, and the government does not own any data rights for the technical information that is required for seeking competition. Therefore Amphenol Distributors are the only viable sources for obtaining the required connectors. Delivery shall be made 45 days after contract award. Inspection and Acceptance is to be at destination with delivery FOB Destination: NSWC Crane, IN 47522-5001. The Navy intends to solicit for proposals under limited competition due to Brand Name only. To be eligible for award of a Government contract, contractors must be properly registered in the Government ™s Central Contractor Registration (CCR). Offerors may obtain information on CCR registration and annual confirmation requirements by calling 1-888-227-2423, or via the Internet at www.ccr.gov. All changes to the requirement that occur prior to the closing date will be posted to FedBizOpps and NECO. It is the responsibility of interested vendors to monitor FedBizOpps and/or NECO for amendments that may be issued to this solicitation. For changes made after the closing date, only those offerors that provide a proposal will be provided any changes/amendments and considered for future discussions and/or award. No hard copies of the solicitation will be mailed. Offers must be submitted in the format specified in the solicitation. Submitting a bid from the NECO website by clicking on -Submit Bid- does not guarantee offers will be received by the proper person in the correct format.
