Description
QUESTIONS/ANSWERS: 1. Related to budget: is it necessary to create 3 separate campaigns, one for each of the 3 groups of fishermen? (For example it may be possible to use one creative campaign for all 3 groups.) Overall the message will be the same, we may want to change the imagery (crab fishing looks a lot different than salmon fishing) and details (statistics, etc.) for each group. 2. The RFQ states that appropriate channels to reach each audience will be identified during the research phase. It also states that at minimum you would require a print ad, tradeshow display materials, point of sale display materials, and other health message promotion materials. Are these in addition to other channels that are identified? If the bidder does not feel that this would be the best use of the budget, may we propose alternative methods? Based on the remoteness of some of the audiences, print materials may be the best way to reach them with any confidence. Broadcast channels may work in some places (radio though, not TV), if there are other methods we aren't thinking of, please include them, as long as the vendor can show us that the audience uses that channel. 3. May we see a copy of the field study carried out by NIOSH staff? The results of the field study have been published in a peer-reviewed journal (a publication targeted at workers is being developed, hence needing help with this campaign). The journal article can be found here: http://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/S0003687011001736. fishing program website at www.cdc.gov/niosh/topics/fishing
