- Description
- Project work consists of maintenance dredging approximately 197,000 cubic yards of material from the Intracoastal Waterway (IWW) in the vicinity of the St. Augustine inlet. Areas to be dredged include portions of Cuts SJ-28, SJ-28A, SJ-29, SJ-29A, and in a portion of the St. Augustine Inlet flood shoal which the IWW channel passes through. All dredging will be to a depth of 12 feet plus 2 feet of allowable overdepth. Resulting material will be placed on the beach within Anastasia State Park between FDEP Monuments R-134 and R-139. Additional work includes repair of a 300-foot section of the Anastasia State Park primary dune system using dredged material and sea oat planting in the repaired area. Incidental work includes beach tilling, endangered species monitoring, and turbidity monitoring.
