Description
This amendment is to address questions that have been asked during the solicitation period: Q: At the end of Clin 0001 you ask for "Delivery of complete integrated system, fully functional, tested prior to delivery". Please explain your definition of completely integrated, fully functional and tested prior to shipment. A: "Delivery of complete integrated system" means that no tuning or other activity requiring special training is necessary to start operation of the device. It is implied that that the end user has general technical expertise to perform unpacking and mounting the robot, connecting power and control cables, and installation of the control software. "Testing prior to delivery" means supplying a report of testing the robot configured to the specification prior to delivery. Q: Will you require installation support for LabVIEW? A: The compatibility with LabView means that no changes to the control code, requiring special knowledge of the delivered hardware and controller, are necessary to start operation of the device. It is implied that that the end user has general technical expertise to work in the National instruments LabView environment, including installation of the VI's supplied by the vendor, and setting computer-specific paths and addresses using GUI of the supplied software. Q: Do you require 8 I/O? If you require 8 and you want actual wire leads on I and O please provide the lengths and additional information to provide the appropriate wiring quotation and the addition of the other I/O. A: For use with custom sensors, in addition to standard tool I/O connections, robot shall be supplied with preinstalled spare wiring, with at least 8 shielded cores of AWG#24 cross-section, connecting the base of the robot to the forearm. The spare wiring shall be supplied un-terminated, with spools of at least 12" length inside base and forearm compartments.
