- The National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences (NIEHS), Research Triangle Park NC, intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with Active Motif Inc, Carlsbad, CA, 92008, pursuant to 41 U.S.C.253(c)(1)--Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. This procurement is for Genepathway analysis; the components consist of the following: 1) 25046- Seqencing of Input/Control DNA - Qty 1 each. 2) 25001 FactorPath ChIP-Seq - Qty 6 each. 3) 25031 Transcription Path ChIP-Seq - Qty 4 each. The service provided by Active Motif uses small amounts of tissue, making the analysis possible with our uterine samples, some of which are unusually small. Our studies will not be possible to continue without the service provided by Active Motif, as the NIEHS core requires more DNA of extremely high quality than we can obtain form our tissues and in vivo samples. Additionally, this data will be added to and directly compared to our ongoing studies previously purchased from Active Motif, and changing the method or vendor would introduce variables that would hamper this analysis due to the inability to make comparable association of the datasets. The current project and studies require the unique specifications of Active Motif. Interested parties may identify their interest and capability. Respond to this requirement by submitting written capabilities/specifications to the Purchasing Agent at the address stated above. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals; however, all responses received within 8 days from the date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract action based upon responses to this notice is solely with the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. If no affirmative responses are received within 8 days of this notice to determine whether a qualified source is more advantageous to the Government, an order will be placed with Active Motif Inc. The NAICS Code/Size is 541711/500. This procurement is to be processed using Simplified Acquisition Procedures in conjunction with FAR Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items and is not expected to exceed the Simplified Acquisition threshold of $150,000.
