- Solicitation W911SD-12-T-0258 - Notice of Intent to Sole Source reference FAR 13.106-1(b)(1). The US Military Academy West Point, NY is procurring the following: Annual maintence support and license for MATLAB. The United States Military Academy (USMA) intends to award on a sole source basis, IAW 10USC 2304(c)(1) and FAR 13.106-1(b)(1), a contract to The MathWorks, Inc, 3 Apple Hill Drive, Natick, MA 01760-2098, as the only responsible source to provide the MATLAB software maintenance support & licensing for the academy. MATLAB is a vital part of the academic curriculum which provides hundreds of operators and built-in functions for technical problem-solving, and is used to either perform numeric calculations or find symbolic solutions. The MathWorks, Inc is the sole proprietor and publisher of this software. The total award amount is estimated to be $57,090.00. The statutory authority for other than full and open competition is 10 U.S.C. 2304 (c)(1), only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirement. The applicable NAICS Code is 511210 and the size standard is $25.0 Million. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit quotes. This notice of intent is not a request for quotation or a solicitation for offers. However, all quotes received within three days after date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this requirement upon receipt of response to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. There will be no solicitation available.
