Description

The US Army Contracting Command, Rock Island intends to solicit on a sole source basis under the authority of FAR 6.302-1(a)(2) with R. Stresau Laboratory Inc. (Stresau) Spooner, WI; for development of a new ignition mix formulation for the M6 Electric Blasting Cap. An add-on award via contract modification to Contract W52P1J-10-D-0021 is anticipated. The Statement of Work (SOW) will require the contractor to develop a ignition mix formulation that will meet the performance requirements of the M6 Electric Blasting Cap. Anticipated period of performance is 12 months from date of award. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, the Government will consider all proposals received within fifteen days after date of publication of this synopsis. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
