Description
** Please notice the response date is extended to 17 Aug 2012 ** Purpose of the RFI is to identify potential suppliers that meet the requirements for Environmental Insurance Consultant Support for BRAC cleanup projects with a special focus on Surplus Lines Cleanup Cost Cap and Pollution Legal Liability insurance policies to support both the Performance Based Remediation Contracts and Cleanup Privatization projects at former Air Force installations closed under BRAC. In support of these efforts, the Air Force is seeking a consultant that: 1. Is a licensed Surplus Lines Insurance Broker. 2. Is an attorney qualified to represent clients on legal matters related to environmental insurance. 3. Can provide a full service consulting, legal, and insurance brokerage services. 4. Is conflict of interest fee, and does not represent any Air Force Environmental Remediation Contractors or Environmental Insurance Companies. 5. Has at least 20 year experience as an environmental attorney and at least 10 years experience as an insurance broker involved in environmental cleanup projects. 6. Has experience manuscripting Cleanup Cost Cap and Pollution Legal Liability issuance policies for the Department of Defense, and specifically the Air Force. 7. Has experience working with both new insurance policies, and the administration and claims associated with existing insurance policies. 8. Has experience providing advisory service on multi agency, multi agreement cleanups such as Privatization or Brownfield redevelopment. 9. Has experience providing training on insurance related topics. 10. Has experience with two-step insurance selection where the clean contractor and cost are selected first prior to conducting a second step competition for the selection of the insurance provider. 11. Has experience with alterative cost sharing financial risk management approaches. Questions: 1. Do you meet the qualifications described above? If you believe you meet the qualifications above, would you consider bidding on a work scope to provide insurance advisory, consulting, brokerage, and legal service to the Air Force for Fiscal Year 2013?
