Attachment 0001 - Reduction of Turtle By-catch in the Bottom-Set Gillnet Fisheries, dated July 2, 2012 Solocitation - EA-133F-12-RQ-0959 The Department of Commerce, NOAA/NMFS Protected Species Branch, Woods Hole, MA has a requirement to collect catch information from a study comparing experimental gillnets to standard gillnets in the mid-Atlantic groundfish gillnet fishery to test for exclusion of sea turtles and retention of targeted catch as described in the statement of work provided with the solicitation. Award of a firm fixed price purchase order is anticipated utilizing Simplified Acquisition Procedures. The required delivery date is August 31, 2013. The contract is expected to be awarded on or about August 17, 2012. The applicable NAICS number is 541712 and the small business size standard is 500 employees. The Federal Supply Class is AP63. This requirement is a small business set-aside. The request for quotations is only available on line by downloading from this site. In order to comply with the Debt Collection Improvement Act of 1996, ALL CONTRACTORS must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) to be considered for an award of a Federal Contract. For information regarding registration in CCR, contact the CCR website at www.ccr.gov/index.cfm. Additionally, each offeror must obtain, and provide with the quote, their nine-digit Dun and Bradstreet (DUNS) number. All responsible sources may submit a quotation which shall be considered by the agency. Quotes are to remain effective for 30 days after close of solicitation. Contractors are encouraged to register with FedBizOpps Vendor Notification Service.
