- COMBINED SYNOPSIS/SOLICITATION NETWORK INTERFACE CARDS (i) This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for a commercial item prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Simplified procedures as outlined in FAR Part 13.5 will be used for the acquisition of this commercial item. (ii) This solicitation is issued as a request for quote (RFQ). Submit written quotes (oral quotes will not be accepted) on RFQ reference number H92237-12-Q-1473. ( iii) This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-52. (iv) This solicitation is unrestricted. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 423430 with a size standard of 100 employees. (v) The purpose of this combined synopsis and solicitation is for the purchase of: •· 144 GBIC Transceivers (CISCO GLC-SX-MMD 1000 Base-SX SFP Transceiver, DOM or equivalent) •· 150 Network Interface Cards (Transition Networks Fiber Optic NIC Cards (LC) or equivalent) Delivery Requirements : Items shall be new, "out of the box", with a one year warranty. Refurbished items will not be accepted. If quoting equivalent items provide a synopsis on the specifications of the equivalent items. Quotes shall be provided as F.O.B. Destination (Shipping included as part of the cost) to BANZ-4, Naval Support Activity Bahrain (Manama) and shall also include proposed delivery schedule. Delivery shall within 30 days after the receipt of contract. The contractor is shall be responsible for any warranty issues. The contractor is also responsible for paying all customs, duties, taxes, etc. required to import items in to Bahrain. (End of clause) 52.212-2 EVALUATION - COMMERCIAL ITEMS (JAN 1999) (a) The Government will award a contract resulting from this solicitation to the responsible offeror whose offer conforming to the solicitation will be most advantageous to the Government, price and other factors considered. If this contract is completely or partially terminated, the records relating to the work terminated shall be made available for 3 years after any resulting final termination settlement. Records relating to appeals under the disputes clause or to litigation or the settlement of claims arising under or relating to this contract shall be made available until such appeals, litigation, or claims are finally resolved. (3) As used in this clause, records include books, documents, accounting procedures and practices, and other data, regardless of type and regardless of form. This does not require the Contractor to create or maintain any record that the Contractor does not maintain in the ordinary course of business or pursuant to a provision of law.
