- Description
- The purpose of this amendment is to answer the following questions:. Can you verify if you do in fact need both a UV detector and a PDA detector and if so, why do they require both? Both detectors are needed. When screening samples, PDF allows a range of wavelengths to be detected simultaneously. It is useful for recording the full uv-vis absorption spectra of samples that are rapidly passing through a sample flow cell in an HPLC detector. FDA just purchased 6 of these systems for their field laboratories. FDA purchased the UPLC which is different from this request. We have requested HPLC. The monographs in the USP have not been changed. HPLC is official and UPLC is not yet official.
