- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The Solicitation # is SAQMMA12R0361 and is issued as a Request for Quote (RFQ). The solicitation document and incorporated provision and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-58. The associated North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) is 423690. This requirement is a small business set aside, with a small business size standard of 100 employees and only qualified offerors may submit quotes. The Department of State requires the following items - Brand name or Equal - meeting the following requirements. Carbon Monoxide Alarm that measures Carbon Monoxide (CO) levels - The device must be direct ready, hand-held portable size 3.0" x 5.0" x 1.5", weigh less than 1 pound, no calibration required, digital display, UL listed, Operating range of 40 F (4.4 C) to 100 F (37.8 C), Humidity operating range 10-95% non condensing, Battery operated; AA replacement batteries, Alarm response times (CO levels in parts per million (ppm)): 70 ppm = 60-240 min; 150 ppm = 10-50 min; 400 ppm = 4-15 min, Peak level memory, warranty period of no less than 7 years Model: Kidde Nighthawk Carbon Monoxide Alarm KN-COPP-B-LP Quantity: 285 Line item 2 - Shipping and handling - if applicable Delivery - 25 calendar days after award Place of Delivery: 1701 N Fort Myer Drive Arlington, Va. 22209 The selected Offeror must comply with the following commercial item terms and conditions. FAR 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors - Commercial, applies to this acquisition. FAR 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions - Commercial Items, applies to this acquisition. The following FAR clauses in paragraph (b) of FAR clause 52.212-5, Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes or Executive Orders-Commercial Items, will apply: 52.222-21, 52.222-26, 52.222-35, 52.222-36, 52.222-37, 52.225-13, 52.232-34. Offerors that fail to furnish required representations or information, or reject the terms and conditions of the solicitation may be excluded from consideration. The offeror agrees to hold the prices in its offer firm for 30 calendar days from the date specified for receipt of offers. Contractor registration requirement - Company must be registered on System for Award Management (SAM) before an award could be made to them. If company is not registered in SAM, they may do so by going to SAM web site at http://www.sam.gov.
