Introduction/Description: The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Western Service Area has a requirement to replace the air conditioning system at the Mina, VOR located in Mina, Nevada. The period of performance for this requirement has been established as fourteen (14) calendar days. Interested vendors are advised of the following: (a)This is not a Screening Information Request for Proposals of any kind; (b)The FAA is not seeking or accepting unsolicited proposals; (c)The FAA will not pay for any information received or costs incurred in preparing the response to the market survey; and (d)Any costs associated with this market survey submittal is solely at the interested vendor's expense Work includes but is not limited to the following: demolition of the existing three thru the wall air conditioning systems (24,000 btuh each), all associated sleeves, electrical feeders and control systems. demolition of one existing electric heater, disconnect, control system, conduit and electrical feeders. Relocation of one 60,000 btuh split system. Supply and install electric heat into the existing air handling unit. furnish and install one new 60,000 btuh split system air conditioner, with electric heat. furnish and install outside air intake duct, return air duct, supply air duct, dampers and actuators, grilles and registers. furnish and install new circuit breakers. furnish and install conduit and electrical feeders. furnish and install fused disconnect switches. furnish and install air conditioning controls exactly as shown on the drawings. furnish and install controls conduit and electrical feeders. perform a testing and air balance. provide start up and air balance report for both split system air conditioners. provide a refrigeration report for both split system air conditioners. provide new equipment one year warranty. Upon completion, the new air conditioning equipment specified herein or shown on the drawings shall be complete, functional, and ready for use by the FAA. The Government intends to award a firm-fixed price contract to the low priced technically acceptable offer. Anticipated Dollar Range: Under $50,000.00 The acquisition strategy for this procurement has not been determined at this time; however, either an unrestricted competition or set-aside will be chosen depending on the responses to this market survey. In order to make this determination and be considered responsive, interested offerors must submit the following to elsa.gonzalez@faa.gov by 2:30 PM PDT on Wednesday, August 15, 2012: a.Completed Business Declaration Form (attached) b.Copy of SBA 8(a) Certification Form or proof of documentation from Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (if applicable). T3.6.1 - Small Business Development Program (Revision 21, October 2007) Small Business Development 5: DOT Lending Program This notice is for informational purposes for Minority, Women-Owned and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises: The Department of Transportation (DOT), Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization, has a program to assist small businesses, small businesses owned and controlled by a socially and economically disadvantaged individuals, and women-owned concerns to acquire short-term working capital assistance for transportation-related contracts. Loans are available under the DOT Short Term Lending Program (STLP) at prime interest rates to provide accounts receivable financing. The maximum line of credit is $750,000.
