Description

The United States Department Agriculture (USDA), Agriculture Research Service (ARS ), intends to award a sole source contract for annual software license renewal for Symantec Veritas Backup Software Support system to DLT Solutions located in Herndon, VA. This product provides for a 12 month renewal subscription license subscription for data storage. This license provides for a higher level of visibility into virtual file systems and applications as well as transparent backup and recovery across physical and virtual silos. This product is critical in allowing OCIO to reduce system downtime and ensure critical information on virtual or physical systems are always protected and restored in seconds. This product is for upgrades to the currently owned Symantec NetBackup system and renewal license is the only product that is compatible with the currently owned Symantec NetBackup system; and is the only product that will met the government's minimum needs. DLT Solutions is a reseller and is the only source that can meet the government's minimum needs, which is 24/7 immediate support ensuring effective operation and utilization of software capabilities. The period of performance is anticipated to be September 2, 2012 through September 1, 2013. NAICS Code is 541519. No solicitation will be issued. No telephone calls are being accepted.
