J&A for AYDIN CYBERSECURITY Tempest Smart Card Readers U.S. DEPARTMENT OF STATE SPECIAL NOTICE SAQMSP12B0003 GENERAL INFORMATION SPECIAL NOTICE WITH INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE - AYDIN CYBERSECURITY 2350 COMMERCE PARK DRIVE, NE PALM BAY, FL 32905 The U.S. Department of State intends to solicit on a sole source basis under the authority of FAR 6.302-1 to AYDIN CYBERSECURITY. The TEMPEST Smart Card Readers are only available from the original source to ensure compatibility with all previously purchased TEMPEST equipment purchased from AYDIN CYBERSECURITY. The unique specifications for the TEMPEST end item for which the TEMPEST Smart Card Reader would communicate cannot be released as they would violate the OEMs proprietary and/or intellectual rights. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this requirement is 334119, Other Computer Peripheral Equipment Manufacturing. This is not a request for a competitive proposals and no solicitation is available. All responsible sources may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation to the Contract Specialist listed below no later than 4:00 p.m. CST on Monday, 27 August 2012. Interested parties may submit any information for consideration by the Government to leungjb@state.gov with solicitation number referenced in the subject line.
