- The Department of the Army, Healthcare Acquisition Activity- North intends to negotiate a Sole Source commercial item procurement with Rees Scientific to provide Environmental Monitoring Systems to Keesler AFB. The system will include V2 Direct Sequence Spread Spectrum wirelss Coordinator, V2 Direct Sequence Spread Spectrum Universal Wireless transmitter for 1 input, tempertaure probes: type 2-15 to +60 degrees C, type 3-50 to +10 degrees C, type 4-90 to-10 degrees C, Rees Scientific Direct Sequence Spread Spectrum wireless temperature transmitter (temp -15to +60C); Rees Scientific Direct Sequence Spread Spectrum wireless temperature and humidity transmitter. This proposed procurement is for supplies for which the government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes. However, interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement no later than August 17th, 2012 noon local time. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Contracting Officer. As an ISO 9001:2000 Company, Rees Scientific is constantly upgrading to comply with highly regulated environments. The Windows based systems are fully validated and 21CFR11 compliant. They are able to monitor a diverse facility with multiple locations and provides instant automated data collection and analysis to your desktop. It provides centralized Alarm Notification and Data Collection, automatic reporting, and uses a combination of wired and/or wireless sensors. Rees Scientific Corporation is the only supplier that is authorized to quote, sell, and service the V2 systems. The Rees Scientific Wireless Monitoring System Version 2 is an upgrade to the system currently in place: the Rees Scientific Wireless Monitoring System Version 1. No other supplier can insure 100% compatibility and interchangeability with the existing components that will be integrated with the Wireless Monitoring System. This system is currently the Clinical Laboratory and Pathology Flight, Transfusion Services Depatrment at Keesler AFB's standard for environmental monitoring. Adequate environmental monitoring is essential to the safety of blood products and reagents and the 81st MDG's ability to maintain national accreditation. Any break in standardization would significantly increase maintenance and service costs.
