Description
The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (USFWS), Region 4 - CGS, Atlanta, Georgia intends to negotiate a sole source procurement, in accordance with FAR Part 6.302-1 and 41 USC 253 (c) (1). The intent is to solicit a single source for the requirement for a Field Technician Specialist at the Okefenokee NWR, Folkston, and GA. USFWS intent is to sole source the requirement to provide a Field Technician Specialist. The North American Industry Classification System code is 115310, size standard $7.0m. The purpose of this procurement is to perform non-personal services necessary for Field Technician Specialist for overseeing and managing a Hazardous Tree Removal for the Floyd Island Canoe Trail. It is the Government's belief that Boundary Services Company can only meet this requirement because they have extensive knowledgeable of precautions and work practices that are necessary when working around historical structures of significant cultural importance. THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NEITHER A REQUEST FOR QUOTATION NOR A FORMAL SOLICITATION OF OFFERS. All inquiries and concerns must be addressed in writing to the e-mail address stated herein, Attn: Nijua Heard. Inquiries to this notice must be received by 3:30 pm local time on August 15, 2012. As a result of evaluating responses to this letter of intent, the Contracting Officer may determine that the action may be competed. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed requirement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
