- Mowing Service Solicitation This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12 in conjunction with FAR 13, as applicable and as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation. The solicitation number is AG-447U-S-12-0062 and is issued as a request for proposal. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular FAC 2005-53. The associated North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code for this procurement is 561730. This requirement is a Service Disable Veteran Owned Small Business set-aside. The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) Forest Service, Homochitto Ranger District, National Forests in Mississippi,is soliciting proposals for Mowing Services on the Okhissa Lake Dam located in Bude, Mississippi. The contractor shall provide all the equipment, labor, material, tools and other incidentals to perform mowing of designated National Forest areas on the Homochitto National Forest. Work consists of approximately 405 acres of mowing and brushing activities normally associated with earthen dams and related appurtenances, road rights of way and other comparable grassy areas that may adjoin these features. This is a request for proposals which will result in a firm fixed price, performance-based, requirements contract for a basic performance period from the date of award through September 30, 2012, plus four (4) one year option periods. Submission of an offer for the basic contract period constitutes an offer to perform in the option period, if exercised. Award will be made based on the best value to the government and can be made on initial offers.. All offerors who submit a proposal for this project must be registered in the Systems for Awards Management (SAM) data base and must have completed Online Representations and Certifications (ORCA) in accordance with FAR 52.204-8. Offerors who fail to register in SAM will not be considered for award. Registration can be done via the internet at http://www.sam.gov.
